Proposal options

Offer the same group two or more versions of the trip in one link. The client compares them as tabs and approves one.

Some groups want to choose: the five-star hotel or the golf resort, the week in May or the week in June, the version with Valderrama or the one without. Proposal options let you build up to four versions of the same trip inside one deal. Your client opens the same link they always get and sees the versions as tabs, each with its own days, hotels and price. They compare the tabs and approve the one they want.

Creating an option

  1. Open the itinerary editor and press Add option in the toolbar. Your current itinerary becomes Option 1, and you start editing a copy as Option 2.
  2. Rename the tabs from their menu so they say what they are: Pine Cliffs 5-star, Links week, With Valderrama.
  3. Edit each tab on its own. Days, hotels, dinners and prices are separate per option; the client and the travellers are shared, because it is one deal.
  4. Share the proposal once. The client's page shows the tabs, and the Approve button approves the option they are reading.

When the client says yes

If they approve on the page, the chosen option becomes the trip and the other tabs close as Not chosen. If they tell you by phone instead, open the winning tab's menu and press Mark as chosen; it does the same thing. A Not chosen option can be deleted when you no longer need it, and if the wrong option was marked, Undo approval on the winner reopens them all.

What the rest of RoundPlan shows

The deal still has one card on the pipeline. The dashboard, the Overview and Bookings all use the option you have active rather than averaging them. While two or more options are open, Overview and Bookings name which one they are showing and let you switch there. All options share the trip's currency.

Options live on deals you are still selling. Once the client approves one, the deal moves on as a normal trip.
