Trip phases

Proposal, planning, confirmed, active, completed. What each phase means, what moves a trip forward, and why moving back is safe.

  • Proposal: you are selling it. The itinerary and the price are still moving.
  • Planning: the client said yes. Now you organise it: bookings, payments, the details.
  • Confirmed: the trip is committed and the money side has started.
  • Active: the group is travelling.
  • Completed: the group came home. The record stays for the numbers.
  • Declined and cancelled: the two ways a trip ends early. Declined means it never sold. Cancelled means it sold and then fell through. Both keep their history.

Moving one forward

  1. Let the client do it: pressing Approve on the proposal page moves the deal to planning on its own.
  2. Or drag the card on the pipeline and confirm.
  3. Or just work the trip: record a payment or mark a booking requested on a deal you are still selling, and RoundPlan asks whether it is sold.

Most of those start themselves: you work the trip and the phase follows. RoundPlan always asks before it moves anything, so nothing changes phase silently. The board itself is covered in the pipeline.

Moving back is safe

Moving a sold trip back to selling keeps its records. The bookings, documents, invoices, payments and the won date all remain. If money was already collected, the confirmation says how much before you move it, so nothing surprises you later.
